Aqua Indiana Rate Case 2026
Aqua Indiana has filed a rate case for its water and wastewater utilities under IURC Cause Number 46425.
The utility is requesting a 2-step rate increase for the wastewater utility which will total a 32.55% system average increase. It is requesting a 3-phase 58.25% system average increase for the water utility. The OUCC will be filing its testimony and recommendations on a date that is still to be determined.
Their last rate case was in 2016.
Aqua Indiana, Inc. provides water and sewer utility service in several Indiana communities. Its service territories include:
Water:
- Consumers Indiana Water Company in Lake County. The monthly water rate for 5,000 gallons is $49.82.
- Darlington Water Division in Montgomery County. The monthly water rate for 6,000 gallons is $57.49.
- Wedgewood Park Water Division in St. Joseph County. The monthly water rate for 5,000 gallons is $40.35.
Sewer:
- Aboite Wastewater Division in Allen, Huntington, and Whitley Counties. Its current monthly rate for a metered customer using 5,000 gallons is $53.88.
- Heir Industries in Clark County. Its monthly residential flat rate is $70.11.
- Sani Tech in Morgan County. Its monthly residential flat rate is $76.00.
- South Haven Sewer Works in Porter County. Its current monthly flat rate is $76.86.
- Southeastern Division in Marion County. Its current monthly flat rate is $61.71.
- White Oak Wastewater Division in Crawford County. Its current monthly flat rate is $54.00.
- Wildwood Shores Utilities Corporation in Morgan County, with a flat, monthly sewer rate of $80.00.
- Wymberley Sanitary Works in Floyd County. It also has an $80.00 monthly flat rate.
