CenterPoint Energy Securitization Case

CenterPoint Energy has received IURC approval to issue securitization bonds, collect securitization charges, and encumber securitization property in Cause No. 45722.

The IURC issued its final order in this case on Jan. 4, 2023.

The OUCC filed its proposed order and supporting brief on Oct. 7, 2022.

In the following testimony filed on Aug. 3, 2022, the OUCC recommended a number of modifications to CenterPoint Energy’s proposal. They included additional ratepayer protections, OUCC participation in structuring, pricing, and marketing the securitization bonds, and the use of best practices as established in Texas and other states using securitization:
