Scholastic Teachables
Scholastic Teachables is an online database of tens of thousands of searchable, downloadable, and printable educational materials. Created by teachers and precisely leveled, our high‑quality, ready-to‑use resources support parents preparing kids for kindergarten readiness, homeschool teachers and learners from Pre-K to grade 6, as well as young patrons who need extra skills practice. Login using your library card from home. In library access is also available for those without a card.
kanopy
Stream for free using your library card! You can access online or through the Libby app below. You can also install the free kanopy app using your app store. What is kanopy? kanopy offers critically-acclaimed movies, inspiring documentaries, classic cinema, and many foreign films, shows, and more. Stream using your phone, tablet, computer, or through your tv using a browser, or other streaming device such as Roku or Firetv.
ASL Deafined
We are thrilled to offer our newest database ASL Deafined. This database offers a variety of lessons to learn American Sign Language. You will need a 14 digit library card to access via this link. Please note when you create your account and enter your library card you will be prompted to create a unique username (it’s an easy to miss step). We recommend editing their default to simply your library card number. If you need a 14 digit card, please let us know and we will be happy to issue you a new card.
Libby
Libby is a free app used to access the following e-content. You may download it from the Google Play Store, Apple App Store, or Amazon Appstore. You may also access these items via the Indiana Digital Library website.

Cemetery Records
In an effort to update our cemetery records, the library worked with Forsythe AND Montgomery Cemetery officials to create searchable Google Sheets that list burial locations alphabetically. Users may also utilize traditional shortcuts to search the documents such as Ctrl+G to search a Google Doc. This project was compiled from a variety of sources including cemetery records, volunteers walking cemeteries, and library staff searching online resources, specifically ingenweb.org. It is correct to the best of our ability. Should you notice any errors, please notify the Oakland City Columbia Township Public Library. Please note, these are works in progress and is subject to change.
Forsythe Cemetery
Section and row locators: The cemetery is divided into four main sections. NE, NW, SE, and SW. Row numbers in each section go East to West, beginning at the side closest to the road and increase from there starting over with each section. An arial map of the cemetery is provided at the beginning of the records listing.
Currently, this file is updated through July 2023.
Montgomery Cemetery
Row and Plot numbers: The direction of row numbering may very from low to high or high to low depending on the section and where you are beginning your search from. In certain sections plot information was added to assist in locating specific gravesites. The plot numbers here are intended to reference location in a specific row and may vary from the legal description of a plot number. As this project was done over a several year process involving multiple groups, some sections are plotted left to right and others are right to left. A map of the cemetery sections is available at the beginning of the records listing.

INSPIRE is the lifelong learning database provided by the Indiana State Library and available to Indiana residents for free. The database offers access to thousands of magazines, professional journals, and test and career prep study aids (including SAT, GED, ASVAB, and many more)

INSPIRE offers free study aids and practice exams for all levels of learning. Including:
- English language arts and math supplemental practice

Learners of all ages will find professional journals, historical newspapers, biography databases, and so much more in collections such as Academic Search, Business Source, Masterfile, and Biography Reference Center.
