The Spencer County Health Department Immunization Program operates in conjunction with the Indiana State Department of Health Immunization Program. Appointments are required.
- The vaccine is provided by:
- VFC (Vaccines for Children) program if child receives Medicaid, has no insurance or insured children whose policy excludes immunization coverage.
- VaxCare for insured children. Most insurances are accepted. Important: Insurance Card must be provided at each visit and consent form must be signed by parent or legal guardian.
- Coordinated with day care and school guidelines.
- All immunizations given according to the Centers for Disease Control ( CDC ) and the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices ( ACIP ) guidelines.
