Full-Time Administrator
Help lead the future of public health in Marshall County.
Position Summary:
The Administrator will manage the budget and operations of MCHD, support environmental health services (including sewage program oversight), and handle public health complaints. This leadership role also involves court representation when necessary, public outreach, and community health strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee department budget and administration
- Assist in the private sewage disposal program
- Investigate public health complaints; appear in court if needed
- Manage communication, including social media
- Help coordinate community-based health solutions
Qualifications:
- Baccalaureate Degree in Public Health, Environmental Health, Nursing (RN in Indiana), or a related field
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; GIS and HTML experience are a plus
- Experience working with the public and social media is preferred

Full-Time Public Health Nurse
Make a difference in your community through preventative care and public health services.
Position Summary:
This role includes administering immunizations, investigating communicable diseases, offering STI testing and counseling, and educating the public on preventative care.
Duties Include:
- Immunizations (children and adults)
- Disease investigation and follow-up
- STI testing and counseling
- POD (Point of Dispensing) management
- Health education and promotion
Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (required)
- Current RN license in Indiana (required)
- Minimum 3 years of public health nursing experience (required)
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing and Maternal Child Health experience (preferred)
