Private Swimming Pools

- Why: Stagnant water is a breeding ground for mosquitos which can transmit West Nile Virus.
Public Swimming Pools
- Must submit water samples once a week to ensure that the chemical balance meets IDOH safety standards. If a pool cannot meet these standards then they will be closed for public use.
You CANNOT RENT your private swimming pool out to anyone. Unless you follow the same guidelines that the Public Swimming Pools follow, if you need a copy of the Indiana Pool code please contact our office.
