Golden Hoosier Award

Nominations for the 2024 Golden Hoosier Award are now OPEN!

The Golden Hoosier Award was established to acknowledge and recognize outstanding seniors for their lifetime of service to their communities. Sponsored by Indiana Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch in collaboration and partnership with the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration, the Golden Hoosier Award is the highest honor bestowed on a senior in Indiana.

The ideal recipient is considered an unsung hero who has not received previous recognition for the impact they have made in the lives of others and the community.

The nominee meets the following criteria for eligibility:

  • An Indiana resident;
  • Age 65 or older; and
  • Has been a volunteer in the community for the past three years.

The 2024 Golden Hoosier Award ceremony will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2024, at 1 p.m. ET in the south atrium of the Indiana Statehouse. The deadline to submit a nomination is Sunday, July 14, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. ET. For questions about the 2024 Golden Hoosier Award, please email or call the Lt. Governor's office at 317-232-8915.
