Timothy J. Winslow is a retired US Army Major General (MG), the Executive Director of the Indiana War Memorials and Museum, and simultaneously the Assistant Director of the Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs. His broad experience in these career positions aggregate to over 40 years of sustained superior service to State and Nation. As the War Memorial Executive Director, MG Winslow operates the Indiana World War Memorial Historic District in downtown Indianapolis, comprised of the Indiana War Memorial building and museum, the Soldiers and Sailors Monument, and 25 acres of land containing multiple monuments honoring Hoosier Veterans. In his Assistant Director role at the Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs, he is supporting veterans through the Indiana Veterans Home, the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, the Military Family Relief Fund, and various assistance programs. MG Winslow has more than 37 years of military service with two combat deployments, is a Master Army Aviator with 2,500 flight hours, and is qualified in 5 different aircraft. Among his many assignments he has served as Interim Indiana National Guard Adjutant General, Commander 81st Troop Command, Indiana Director of the Joint Staff, US Army Airlift Officer – Joint Operational Support Airlift Center, and Chief of Staff 38th Infantry Division. He earned his commission from Purdue University Army ROTC, a master’s degree in business administration, a master’s degree in strategic studies, is a graduate of the United States Army War College, and a recipient of the Sagamore of the Wabash from Governor Holcomb. MG Winslow is married to Catherine Winslow, MD, a former Army Lieutenant Colonel and 2022 inductee in the Indiana Military Veterans Hall of Fame. They have a son, Josh, and a daughter Jordan (dec).
