IVH Cemetery

The historic Indiana State Soldiers' Home Cemetery has been part of our campus since the Home first began accepting residents in 1896. The cemetery presently has 2950 grave sites dating all the way back to the late 1800s and has several monuments donated to the grounds which are dedicated in memory of those who served their country. Placement in the IVH cemetery is reserved solely for the veterans and their spouses who reside with us at the time of their passing.

The cemetery is open to the general public Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Those wishing to visit the cemetery during off-hours are asked to check in at the switchboard on Pyle 1 and speak with security.

Individuals interested in learning more about veterans burial benefits for individuals who do not reside at the Indiana Veterans' Home are directed to the Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs and the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery for more information.
