On July 15th, the Indiana Office of Technology hosted the 7th annual IOT APM Day event, bringing together approximately 130 attendees from over 30 state agencies for a collaborative day of learning and innovation around Application Performance Management (APM).
The event kicked off with coffee, donuts, and networking, followed by a welcome and APM “State of the Union” address. Attendees then participated in a series of interactive breakout sessions that explored tools and strategies for monitoring and securing business-critical applications. Topics included performance tracing with AppDynamics, database monitoring, modern application security with Cisco Secure Application, and network visibility with ThousandEyes.
The second half of the day featured a success story from the Department of Revenue (DOR) using Splunk Analytics, followed by a working lunch with sessions focused on cloud traffic insights and the Splunk + Cisco vision and roadmap.

Summer 2025 APM Day
We recently hosted a 2-day APM Power Enablement Workshops with state agencies DFR,DOH and DMHA led by the IOT APM team and Cisco. The event focused on deep dives into AppDynamics and ThousandEyes, providing an excellent opportunity for discussion and collaboration.
Throughout the session, participants explored the advanced capabilities of AppDynamics for application performance monitoring and ThousandEyes for network visibility. The hands-on experience and knowledge sharing have set the stage for more effective use of these tools across our agencies.

The 6th IOT APM day was a huge success, with approximately 100 attendees, the highest attendance to date! The new breakout session format was particularly well received and contributed to the event’s success. Congratulations to the Department of Revenue (DOR) for being recognized as the top Observability Champions, and honorable mentions were given to the Department of Workforce Development (DWD) and the Department of Environmental Management (DEM) for their outstanding efforts. A big thank you to all the agencies for their hard work and participation. We are already looking forward to the next APM Day! Your collaboration made this event truly special.
