Money Talks Evansville Breakout Session Schedule

Join us for our summer event – INPRS Presents: Money Talks on Wednesday, June 12 at the Evansville-Vanderburgh Public Library from 3:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.! Come learn about the different ways you can save for retirement. We'll have presentations, games, light refreshments and lots of fun!

In addition to INPRS speakers, you can hear from experts with:

Getting to Know Your Retirement Plan: The best way to prepare for retirement is to understand your benefits. This session will cover how long it takes to earn your benefit, how to grow your money and when you can finally use that money for retirement.

You and Your Social Security Benefit: Do you have questions about Social Security?  Who is eligible and how are benefits calculated? What can you do online at SocialSecurity.gov? Come get the answers from SSA’s Public Affairs Specialist, Charo Boyd.  The session will be interactive, welcoming all questions.

Creating Lifetime Income in Retirement: this session will focus on the evolution of retirement from the traditional mindset, risks that members need to be aware of when preparing for retirement and a solution INPRS has made available to its members to create additional guaranteed income in retirement.

Large Group Room

Mayhem Happens, Fight Back with an Emergency Fund: One unexpected emergency can wipe out your entire savings. This session will show you how to build an emergency fund and ease the stress of an additional expense.

Ways to Create a More Secure Retirement: We will discuss how Hoosier S.T.A.R.T./Deferred Compensation works with your state retirement benefits and Social Security to help provide a secure retirement. We will cover basic information on the plan, things to consider about retirement planning, as well as have plenty of time for Q&A.
