Request Public Records
IDOC now uses a portal for all public records requests. Please submit all requests here.
Please be as detailed as possible in the records you are seeking. If your request is related to an incarcerated individual, please include his or her name and DOC number in the request.
Under Indiana law, a public agency has seven (7) days from the date it receives a public records request to confirm its receipt. While Indiana law does not require records to be produced within seven (7) days, we will try to produce all records as quickly and completely as possible. Although we process requests as promptly as we are able, review for confidential and non-disclosable materials does take time, and we appreciate your patience in advance as we work to complete your request.
For incarcerated individuals’ records, please send an email to coaoffenderrecordrequest@idoc.in.gov with the incarcerated individual’s name and DOC number in the subject line
