Out-of-State Certification (Click Here)Based on the outcome of the Governor’s Commission meeting held on January 12, 2009, the DSD office will only consider applications from out-of-state companies that are based in a state that recognizes Indiana certifications. | Maintaining Your Certification (Click Here)Although certification is valid for a three-year period, businesses are required to submit an Affidavit of Continuing Eligibility (ACE) form annually. To request for classification code (UNSPSC) review and amendment, businesses must submit an Amendment Form. | Certification Partnerships (Click Here)The Division of Supplier Diversity has executed cooperative agreements with the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT), the City of Indianapolis Office of Minority and Women Business Development (OMWBD), and the Great Lakes Women's Business Council (Great Lakes WBC) wherein certifications from these organizations will be considered as recommendations toward the state's MBE/WBE/IVOSBs certification. |
Qualifications for Certification
To qualify as a minority, women or veteran owned business, a firm must be 51 percent owned by qualifying minorities, women and veterans who:
- Possess expertise in the field
- Control the business enterprise
- Are U.S. citizens
Qualifying minority groups include Blacks, Native Americans, Latino/Hispanics, Pacific Asians, and Subcontinent Asians.

UNSPSC Amendments
Certified minority, women and veteran-owned businesses with requests for classification code (UNSPSC) review and amendment, must submit an Amendment Form to the Division.
