The Muncie Creek-Hamilton Ditch and Truitt Ditch-White River Watershed Management Plan (WMP) is intended to guide the protection and enhancement of the environment while balancing the different land uses and demands of the community on the landscape. The WMP addresses items such as: education and outreach; increasing preservation, restoration, and protection; increasing cooperation, coordination, and collaboration with stakeholders; and maintaining a solid organization to implement the guidelines of the plan.

The WMP is intended to be comprehensive, identifying problem areas and suggesting improvement measures for water quality concerns. The Subwatersheds have various issues and concerns that need to be addressed. In order to comprehensively address some of these issues, the group will work with local stakeholders, organized as a steering committee to pursue Best Management Practices that will result in the improvement of water quality within the Subwatersheds. Because of the size of the task at hand, this plan will also be used as a platform to pursue additional grants and funding for implementation of the many different measures recommended in the plan.

This WMP represents the overall watershed analysis and inventory prepared by the watershed coordination team with consistent input from committee members and the public, and the recommendations for water quality improvement and protection that resulted from such efforts.
