The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) is hosting a series of open forums to gather feedback on revisions to the Remediation Closure Guide (Nonrule Policy Document Waste-0046-R1) [PDF] on several specific technical topics:
- Conditions that should prompt an investigation of vapor intrusion potential;
- Vapor delineation, including delineation of soil gas plumes and vapors in sewers and other open conduits;
- Conditions that require a vapor remedy, and conditions that indicate a vapor remedy is adequate; and
- Other topics, to include measurement of leaching potential and any other subjects of concern to participants.

Note: These opportunities for input are in addition to the public comment period that will precede presentation of the Nonrule Policy Document to the Environmental Rules Board.
