The Calvin Fletcher Historical Marker dedication ceremony took place on October 7, 2006. The Fletcher Place Neighborhood Association organized the event on the Anthem Greenspace where Virginia Avenue, Fletcher Avenue, South Street, and East Street intersect in Indianapolis.

A crowd of approximately 60 people gathered for the Calvin Fletcher dedication ceremony.

The Miller family portrays Calvin, Sarah, and Ingram Fletcher. They read entries from Calvin Fletcher's diary at the dedication ceremony.
