Project Information

  • Application Portfolio Assessment
    • Description: The Application Portfolio Assessment evaluates the current state of the IDOH application suite in order to understand the current state of the systems. This provides a base for creating a plan to resolve any issues.
    • Current State: Application information has been pulled from Archer to identify the purpose and the criticality of each application, and (working with application owners) an initial status has been assigned for the areas of security health, technical health, functional health, and urgency for each application
    • Next Steps: With the application information in hand, the next step is to prioritize the application development (considering any current work-in-progress) and develop a plan to resolve noted application issues
  • Project Management Office (PMO) & Project Portfolio
    • Description: The establishment of a Project Management Office (PMO) that manages the IDOH Project Portfolio has been identified as a priority of DARTT. The PMO’s mission is to effectively manage the agency’s project portfolio. Establishing a fully functioning PMO is vital for tracking projects from their inception to completion.
    • Current State: We have identified the current projects that are underway at IDOH to create the first project portfolio for the agency
    • Next Steps: Beginning to establish the main activities of a PMO. Developing a new project intake procedure. work with existing project managers to create a reporting dashboard that provides a visualization of the project portfolio.
  • Data Release Committee
    • Description: The Data Release Committee (DRC) is engaged by IDOH staff to make key decisions regarding data sharing and usage. The goal of this project is to formalize the principles and scope of the DRC and to increase awareness and utilization of the DRC across the agency.
    • Current State: A charter is under development in alignment with prior DRC functions and DRC best practices. Committee membership will be established within this document.
    • Next Steps: Following completion of the charter, updated policies, procedures, and guidance will be published and shared with staff. Future efforts will seek to expand these resources to external stakeholders and the public.
