- How to get involved?
- There are various ways to get involved with project DARTT. The project involves significant discovery work, and you may have coworkers and partners reach out to you for information, feedback, and input. Providing honest, timely, and constructive input is critical to the project’s success
- Additionally, as new ideas and technology are scoped and implemented, the project team will be looking for volunteers to test and provide feedback from those who will be using the technology on a day-to-day basis. Expressing interest in volunteering to your manager or to the project team facilitates your inclusion in this testing
- The Project DARTT Suggestion Box is always available and regularly monitored, allowing you to provide thoughts and feedback at any time. Feedback can be either named or anonymous.
- How will this impact me?
- This project provides an opportunity for you to help guide IDOH’s technology landscape, ensure that processes are optimized to meet the needs of the agency, and that data and tools are available to achieve the agency’s mission.
- Training will be provided to IDOH employees for all projects where new procedures, technologies or activities are required.
- Process and automation improvements will allow you to focus on higher-level work and less of the tedious data cleaning, copying and pasting, excel document management, etc.
- Updated technologies will place an emphasis on easy and intuitive usage and improved support lines will be developed as part of the implementation of any project.
- A focus on security seeks to enable safe handling of data to keep confidential information, such as Social Security or Driver’s License Numbers, private and secure, while still providing access to necessary data.
- How does this align with the department strategic plans and current projects?
- All DARTT goals and deliverables should align with the IDOH Strategic Plan, and project oversight is set up to ensure this constant alignment (please see the Resource Links section of this site for a link to the IDOH Strategic Plan). A current project directly referenced in the strategic plan is a review of data governance processes and infrastructure to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and availability of data. There is also an evaluation of a Helpdesk solution to improve support systems within the agency to maximize the work completed by divisions and program areas, which is also expressed as an objective in the strategic plan
- The ultimate goal of DARTT is to improve upon the amazing work that is already being done by the agency and the various groups within. Current and ongoing projects are identified through the program's ongoing discovery work, and the intention is to align the DARTT work with the ongoing work to ensure that we are all swimming in the same direction
