Program Reports

The Indiana Pregnancy Promise Program (IPPP) has engaged in robust data collection processes for federal funding sources since the launch of the program on July 1, 2021. These annual reports are intended to capture program results over time while measuring the impacts on mothers and infants. These reports have been shared with stakeholders across Indiana.

Task Order 049 Evaluations Prepared by WISE Indiana for the Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning

The Indiana Pregnancy Promise Program concluded a program evaluation study in May of 2025 in partnership with WISE Indiana (Well Being Informed by Science and Evidence in Indiana). Through a data use agreement, this comprehensive evaluation identified a matched comparison cohort of Medicaid enrolled women with opioid use disorder who did not participate in IPPP.  Next, the team of researchers were able to assess the health outcomes and estimate the costs of Medicaid-related services (for mothers and infants) in both IPPP and the matched control group. By comparing outcomes and cost savings resulting from the IPPP to the control group, the research team was able to identify several meaningful differences between the two populations and key factors of success for the IPPP. The findings are highlighted in the Executive Summary and further described in the Full Report. This evaluation study was completed with support from the CMS Innovation Center MOM Model grant award.
