Ways to Help Prevent Childhood Obesity
Obesity is a problem with Indiana's children. Almost one third of children 5 years of age and younger have a body weight that is greater than 85% of their peers. Half of those children are considered obese and are at a great risk for health and self-esteem problems later in life.
Here are some links and a document to help you plan meals and activities that will help to avoid increasing risks for childhood obesity.

You can also find support for healthy meal planning from participating in the Child and Adult Care Food Program which is a program of the Indiana Department of Education.
