Strengthening Indiana’s Apprenticeship Ecosystem: DWD Launches New Apprenticeship Indiana Websit

Work-Based Learning and Apprenticeship by Indiana Department of Workforce Development (DWD) launched the all new Apprenticeship Indiana website – a collaborative platform designed to grow and strengthen Indiana’s Registered Apprenticeships.

Rather than serving as just another resource site, Apprenticeship Indiana focuses on bringing partners together, fostering collaboration between workforce boards, education providers, employers, and industry organizations across the state. This effort aims to create a stronger, more connected ecosystem – one where best practices are shared, opportunities for innovation are elevated, and collaboration drives the development of a skilled workforce.

“In a dynamic and changing economy, Apprenticeships Indiana will empower Hoosiers to gain the skills necessary to build successful careers within the state,” said Beth Green, Interim Commissioner and General Counsel. “We are very excited to launch this platform, offering a credible and centralized hub for apprenticeship opportunities, helping job seekers and business leaders shape the workforce of tomorrow.”

Employers will find clear steps to launch customized RAPs, backed by OWBLA support and technical assistance. The website outlines the benefits of RAPs, including reduced turnover, increased employee loyalty, and a reliable pipeline of skilled talent.

“Indiana’s economy depends on a highly trained, adaptable workforce,” said Jason Graves, Sr. Director, DWD Work-Based Learning and Apprenticeship. “Apprenticeship Indiana gives both individuals and employers a place to start building that future together.”

The site also serves as a resource for educators, workforce partners, and state agencies working to align training with in-demand skills and strengthen Indiana’s labor market.
