The Indiana Department of Revenue (DOR)’s Motor Carrier Services Division now provides base plate registrations for companies with 25 or more commercial vehicles weighing 16,000 lbs. or more.
This change will streamline the renewal process for your business. Renewal will be done online ONLY, allowing carriers to conveniently manage their business from anywhere, 24/7.
If you are currently registered in our online system to process International Registration Plan (IRP), then you are automatically registered for BPR. If you do not have IRP, you will receive step-by-step registration instructions.
If you have any questions about this change, you may contact Motor Carrier Services at 317-615-7340, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. EST.
The IRP and BPR application allows you to process, pay, and print your cab cards without ever leaving your home or office. In addition, you can renew your plates and process most transaction types such as add vehicles, plate transfers, replacement plates, and more.
