The Indiana Abandoned Mine Land program wants to partner with citizens groups, resource conservation and development groups, watershed groups, and others to accomplish remediation of safety and environmental issues in southwest Indiana. Activities must comply with the requirements of I.C. 14-34-19. Any group that wants to partner with the AML program must be in good standing with the Secretary of State to become an approved vendor. The first step is to develop a memorandum of understanding that will define responsibilities in the partnership. If your group wants to partner, please email AbandonedMinesRestoration@dnr.IN.gov.
