Budgets 2.0 Training Opportunities

The Department of Local Government Finance will be hosting in-person and virtual trainings for Budgets 2.0, the new budget application scheduled to launch in June 2026 for the 2027 budget submission process. These two-hour trainings will walk you through the application and show its new functionality:

• Budgeting steps presented in a clear, linear process.
• Data collection process that is tailored to your unit.
• Side-by-side comparisons of the previous year’s amounts in Form 1: Line-Item Budget Estimates and Form 2: Non-Property Tax Revenue Estimates.
• DLGF estimates incorporated into the new application.
• Improved error prevention reports.

It will be a collaborative environment and you will have the ability to ask questions. All trainings are open to participants from across the state, so please pick the date that works best for your schedule.
