East Gibson Fire Territory, also known as EGFT, was established 1/1/2021 to serve Columbia Township and the City of Oakland City. EGFT provides Fire, Rescue and Basic Life Support Non- Transportation protection. East Gibson Fire Territory has 18 active members who are dedicated to the Oakland City area. Multiple stations are located in the region such as Station 1, which is located on Main Street in Oakland City. Station two is located on Walnut street in Oakland City. EGFT responds to an average of 400-450 incidents per year in the region.
