The Blue River Commission comprises two representatives from each county where the Scenic section of the Blue River flows through. The county Commissioners appoint representatives from Washington, Harrison, and Crawford counties. These members serve a term of four years.
The director of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (or his designee) is also a voting member of the commission. For the Blue River, there are seven Commissioners.
