A law enforcement officer, must be missing, seriously injured, or killed in the line of duty. The suspect in the case has not been apprehended, the suspect’s exact location is unknown, and the suspect poses an imminent threat to the public or other law enforcement personnel.
A detailed description of the suspect(s), any available images, and any vehicle believed to be in the suspect’s possession (to include license plate number, make, and model of the vehicle) must be available for broadcast to the public.
The lead law enforcement agency /agency of jurisdiction must request issuance of a Blue Alert.
