Going away to college is exciting for most people today, that is until
the bill comes due. Where can families today find the necessary funds
to finance a college education? This page contains links to several sites
that provide information about additional sources of financial aid such
as scholarships and loans. These are easy to use sites and are for the

Board Online
When you think of the College Board, you probably think of
the SAT, and you're right; however, this site also provides a financial
aid calculator, a scholarship search feature, as well as a Financial
Aid Services area that discusses tips on financial planning for students
and parents. The site also provides useful background information about
student loans.

The College Fund/UNCF is an educational assistance organization. This site provides information about study abroad programs, scholarships, graduate studies, and other programs. All together, the College Fund offers more than 450 programs for students, faculty, and member colleges.

Indiana Youth Institute’s DriveOfYourLife.org - totally free, Indiana-specific career exploration resources for teenagers to learn about themselves, potential jobs, and the education to make their future possible.
- fastWEB(Financial Aid Search
Through the WEB)
This is one of the best sites on the Web to start your scholarship
search. fastWEB provides free, detailed information. Step-by-step instructions
are provided, so this site is easy to use. You will also be prompted to
create your own private account name with your own private mailbox. Any
information you request will be sent to your fastWEB mailbox so no one
will have access to your information.
- FinAid (The SmartStudent
Guide to Financial Aid)
This is a very comprehensive site with information about all types of
financial aid. In addition, you are provided with a glossary of terms
to help decipher some of the confusion in the financial aid world. FinAid
also provides links to other reliable financial aid sites on the Web.
- Hope and Lifetime Learning Education Tax Credit
There may be certain tax credits for which you or your parents are eligible.
The Hope credit and the lifetime learning credit may reduce the amount
of federal income tax paid based on the costs of college. Please see the

Indianas Pre-K to College Connection
Learn More Resource Center is Indiana's new, expanded Pre-K to College
Connection. The successor to the Indiana Career and Postsecondary Advancement
Center (ICPAC), Learn More was created to support the Indiana Education
Roundtable's P-16 Plan for Improving Student Achievement. The plan's key
principle is that in today's world, Indiana students need successfully
to COMPLETE postsecondary education. With Indiana's P-16 plan as its foundation, Learn More Resource Center
strives to be the most valuable and reliable source of information for
Indiana's parents, students and school counselors. Learn More also serves
adults who want to change careers or seek additional training.

Loans, Inc.
ISM is Indiana's designated not-for-profit provider of student loan services.
Its mission is to encourage Indiana students to participate in higher
education by making the cost of borrowing more affordable. ISM offers
low cost loans and exceptional service with Indiana as its sole focus.
Since 1980, ISM has provided nearly $50 million to fund education efforts.

MACH25 is a simple and fast way to find aid for school. Users
are prompted to create a user account which is used to search for scholarships.

The National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA)
