The Mitch Daniels Early Graduation Scholarship

High School Counselors:  Please click here for a description of the new $4,000 Mitch Daniels Early Graduation Scholarship available to students who graduate high school a year or more early, after December 2010.

If you know and have contact with students who graduated at least one year early this year (May-June of 2011), you may direct them to this website or to their college financial aid office for help in applying for this scholarship.  Students graduating early but in years prior to 2011 are not eligible for the Mitch Daniels Early Graduation Scholarship.

  1. Students who plan to graduate a year or more early beginning in the summer of 2012 or later will need to check back at this website for updates that will include information for:
    1. the formalized Mitch Daniels Scholarship application posted on this site and
    2. filing of an appropriate year’s Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) which for those attending for the 2012 -2013 academic year the 2012-2013 FAFSA will need to be filed; and
    3. other application information posted on the web site such as application deadlines and the processing timeline information will be important to follow.
  2. As High School Counselors, please consult with your Department of Education contacts to determine how to answer student questions about what is necessary to graduate a year or more early, as SSACI does not have information on high school diploma completion.
