The State Work Study Program is designed to help students gain work experience and earn money towards their college expenses both during the summer and the school year.
Where are the Jobs
Employers all over the state apply to participate every year. Eligible Employers include state, city, and local government agencies, not-for-profit organizations and institutions, including colleges and universities. Students who received and used an Indiana Higher Education Awards (HEA) and/or 21st Century Scholarships may participate in this program. You are responsible for finding an employer that is eligible to participate in this program. A list of employers will be available in March, 2009.
How do I Participate
Fill out your information that's requested on the website between July 14, 2008 and May 1, 2009. In early 2009, the mini-resumes online will be available to the 2009 Summer Work Study eligible employers. The employers may begin contacting you during spring break. You may also contact them by using the lists posted in your financial aid or student employment office.
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
1. Used an HEA and/or 21st Century Scholarship during the 2008-09 academic year
2. Will not graduate at the end of the 2009-10 fall semester or quarter.
3. Will enroll as an undergraduate student during the 2009-10 academic year.
