This is a federally-supported merit-based scholarship program which awards scholarships to selected Hoosier students. Funds for this program are very limited.

To be eligible an applicant must:

  • Achieve a minimum Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) score of 1940 from one single test or a 29 composite score on the ACT, or earn an average standard score of 620 or higher on the GED
  • Be an Indiana resident
  • Be a senior in high school with an accumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or receive a GED in the year you are applying for the scholarship
  • Apply and/or enroll at an institution of higher education
  • Not have defaulted on a debt to the federal government or sentenced for a drug offense

    Scholars must attend a postsecondary institution on a full-time basis the first year to receive a scholarship. The maximum annual scholarship is $1500.00 (but depends on the amount of federal funds allocated to Indiana). The scholarship is renewable if the scholars maintain satisfactory academic progress as determined by the scholar's college/university. Scholarships may be used to attend any approved institutions in the United States. The Scholarship can be used for any eligible college expense (tuition, room and board, books, supplies).  Scholarships for this federally-funded program are very limited.
