Lake County Library Recognized for Preparing Patrons for ACA The Lake County Public Library (LCPL) was recently recognized on WebJection article (Putting the "e" in eHealth) for the innovative they prepare patrons for success in the health insurance marketplace. In addition to providing general information sessions and comprehensive ACA resources for patrons, the library also provides computer classes on email essentials and the online application process. Debbie Rzepczynski is the Library Skills Trainer for LCPL, and intends to offer these services for the duration of the open enrollment period, which runs through March 31, 2014. The eHealth page on WebJunction also has several archived ACA webinars which are free and very helpful resources to start getting prepared for assisting patrons with the health insurance marketplace. INSPIRE, Indiana's Virtual Library, recently added a resources portal for patrons and librarians designed to connect them with the latest information pertaining to the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The Indiana State Library's Professional Development Office also offer several ACA workshops out in the field by request. Summer Reading, Rock Star Training Coming to a Library Near You Indiana State Library Children's Services Consultant Suzanne Walker has scheduled a statewide tour to discuss summer reading and Rock Star Start-Up kits. Attendees at any of the 17 statewide locations can earn up to five LEUs via the following workshops:
