Federal Documents- As Indiana’s Regional Federal Depository we collect all items within the Government Printing Office’s federal depository program
Genealogy Collections - One of the largest collections of family history information is available in the Indiana State Library.
Indiana Collections - One of the largest and broadest collections of books, maps, newspapers, manuscripts, and more on Indiana.
Indiana Young Readers Center - The Indiana Young Readers Center Collection includes books by Indiana authors and illustrators for children and young adults.
Preservation & Conservation Services - Provides preservation and conservation treatment for the collections of the Indiana State Library as well as information and training to the statewide library community.
Rare Books & Manuscripts - The Rare Books and Manuscripts Division includes over 3 million manuscripts; 5,200 collections, ranging from the early 15th century to present day. Among the collection’s strengths are Civil War-era letters and diaries, family papers and the records of many political figures from the Hoosier state.
Reference & Government Services - Serves legislators, state employees, businesses, scholars, students, family historians, and those looking for information possibly not available from their local public library.
State Data Center - Collects federal, state and local level statistical resources for Indiana and offer assistance navigating online and print Census Bureau data, both historic and current.
State Documents - Includes reports, historical materials, studies, statistics published by Indiana state agencies.
Talking Book & Braille - The Special Services Division provides books on tape, Braille books, and large print books to Indiana's citizens with visual or physical impairments.

Borrower's Cards - Any Indiana resident is eligible for a borrower's card from the Indiana State Library.
