Welcome to the Children’s Special Health Care Services (CSHCS) website!
Indiana Children’s Special Health Care Services provides supplemental medical coverage to help families of children who have serious, chronic medical conditions, age birth to 21 years of age, who meet the program’s financial and medical criteria, pay for treatment related to their child’s condition. More specific information is available by selecting from the menu tree on the left of this screen.
ATTENTION PROVIDERS: In the near future, the CSHCS program will no longer send a paper EOP to providers. We strongly encourage providers to enroll now for internet access to the CSHCS Web Portal by clicking on the Web Portal link to the left of this page and completing a short enrollment form. The Web Portal will allow providers to print EOPs and check claim & enrollment status. Another option would be to contact our EDI team at 1-800-475-1355, option 5, then option 1 to inquire about receiving the 835 Electronic Remittance Advice.
Travel Reimbursement Change Effective 7/1/2010
As a result of the current state of the economy, the CSHCS Program, along with other programs throughout state government is facing reductions in available funding. As you may know, the CSHCS Program Travel Reimbursement expenses are totally supported by state monies. Therefore, we have had to make some tough decisions in an effort to curb costs while maintaining the broadest positive child health outcomes in the state. Effective July 1, 2010, The Children's Special Health Care Services program will discontinue travel reimbursement for participants dually enrolled in CSHCS and Medicaid. Dually enrolled participants will need to contact their Hoosier Healthwise (HHW) assigned Healthplan to arrange transportation for future medical needs beginning July 1, 2010.
