Guidelines for Filing Continuing Education Courses

Any:

(1) individual;
(2) insurance company;
(3) insurance trade association;
(4) insurance producer association;
(5) accredited college; or
(6) insurance education institution;               

may submit continuing education courses for approval by the commissioner.

The following procedures are in compliance with 760 IAC 1-50 and have been developed by the Insurance Producers Education Advisory Council. 

Subject material must be in compliance with IDOI laws and regulations. A filing must be accompanied by $40 filing fee, content outline and copy of home state approval document. Date, location and start/end times must be included. 

Courses are Not Renewable: Course approval is valid for a 24 month period from the date of issue. IDOI will not notify a CE provider that the course approval has expired. Re-certification is the responsibility of the provider.
