The marker dedication at the James Harrison Cravens’ home took place September 2, 2006 in Osgood, Indiana as part of their Sesquicentennial Celebration. Immediately before, a dedication ceremony was held marking the Ohio and Mississippi Railroad.
Osgood Sesquicentennial Queen Kaitlin Hughes sings a beautiful rendition of the national anthem.
Helen Todd Einhaus, historian for Ripley County, introduces historian Diane Perrine Coon (below), who told the fascinating history of James H. Cravens and his role in the Underground Railroad.
