Rick Ruble is Deputy Commissioner and General Counsel with the Indiana Department of Labor.
This is Rick’s second time working for the Department of Labor. He was with the Research and Statistics division for ten years before attending law school. After law school, Rick was in private law practice before returning to his present role with Department of Labor in February 2007.
Rick is a graduate of Indiana University and the Indiana University School of Law.

Tim Maley serves at the Deputy Commissioner of Labor for the State of Indiana, managing both Indiana OSHA construction and general industry compliance divisions, and the Indiana Voluntary Protection Program.
Prior to work with the Department of Labor, Tim was employed with Eli Lilly for 30 years, spending most of his time in safety management. While at Lilly, Tim led the Lilly Technology Center (a large multi business drug development and manufacturing site) to OSHA’s VPP Merit certification, VPP Star Certification and VPP Star recertification. During this time, the company experienced significant accident reduction. Tim also served on the VPPPA Region V Board of Directors for five years both as a Director-at-Large and Vice Chairperson.
After employment with Lilly, Tim worked as a Senior Safety Consultant with Advanced Worksite Solutions. In this role, he partnered with businesses to provide injury reduction management systems and solutions.
Tim is a graduate of Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana.

Michelle Ellison is Assistant Commissioner for the Indiana Department of Labor. Her responsibilities include managing the day-to-day operations of the Indiana OSHA consultation division, INSafe, as well as marketing for the Indiana Department of Labor. She is also responible to promote employer participation in the Indiana Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (INSHARP). Michelle oversees the agency's strategic occupational safety and health partnerships and alliances as well. Additionally, Ms. Ellison also serves as the OSHA Region V representative on the Occupational Safety and Health Consultation Board (OSHCON).
The INSafe division has been recognized for numerous awards including the federal OSHA On-Site Consultation Achievement Recognition (OSCAR) award (2013, 2010 and 2008) and a Governor's Public Service Achievement Award (2012).
Michelle is a graduate of Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business with concentrations in Marketing and Management.

Donald “Blink” McCorkle serves as the Assistant Commissioner of the Bureau of Mines located in the field office at Vincennes University, Vincennes, Indiana. Blink has been employed in the mining industry since 1972.
He is certified by the Federal Mine Safety and Health Administration as an underground, surface, and mine rescue instructor.
Blink is a United States Army Veteran and holds an Associate’s Degree in Mining Technology from Rend Lake College, Ina, Illinois. He also has mine foreman certifications from Ohio, Illinois, and Indiana.

Nick Barbknecht is a native of Michigan City, Indiana and has a background in business and accounting. He started at the Indiana Department of Labor in February 2013, serving as the Assistant Commissioner and Legislative Liaison focusing on improvement, performance management and Indiana occupational injury, illness and fatality statistics.
Nick most recently worked for one of the nation's 10th largest accounting firms where he concentrated on audit and assurance services in addition to time working in economic development. He is engaged in number civic activities and has a background in public policy having worked for several candidates and office holders over the past several years. He is a graduate of the Indiana Leadership Forum, a Ronald Reagan Scholar, a member of the Hoosier Congressional Policy Leadership Series, a Charter Member of Michigan City Christian Church since 2006 and currently serves as a board member of the Lake Region Christian Assembly. Nick holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Manchester University.
Controller and Chief Financial Officer

Babu has served in many capacities within the Indiana Department of Labor, before becoming the Controller and Chief Financial Officer, he was the Lead Auditor and Field Auditor in the Wage and Hour division. Prior to his responsibilities with the Department of Labor, he worked as a Senior Reconciler for Bank One Services Corporation and Manager/Auditor for the Indian Overseas Bank in Chennai, India. Babu holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Distribution from Indiana University, a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Central Institute of Delhi, India and a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Kerala, India. Babu was a recipient of the Governor’s Public Service Achievement Award in 2006.
