Mission

Maintain and improve the educational quality and vocational effectiveness of private career schools. Support educational access through consumer protection and business support.

As of 1 July 2012 the Indiana Commission on Proprietary Education will cease to exist as a singular entity, per legislation passed in the 2012 session.

The proprietary schools that are degree granting will be regulated by the IN Commission on Higher Education. That list is here.

The proprietary schools that are NOT degree granting will be regulated by the Indiana Department of Workforce Development. That list is here.

All closed school records will be housed at the Indiana State Records Center. Contact number will be 317.491.5220 Ext.288.
