The commission is charged with regulating privately owned, postsecondary private career schools as prescribed in the Indiana Code 20-12-76 et. seq. Our mission is to not only maintain but improve the educational quality and vocational effectiveness of the private career schools. In addition, the commission is to protect the citizens of Indiana, as well as the ethical operators of private career schools, from the fraudulent activities of a minority of unscrupulous operators of such schools. The Commission carries out its mission through consumer protection and business support activities consistent with the standards of accreditation prescribed by Indiana law and the practices defined within agency regulations.
