County Surveyor
The County Surveyor is a constitutional officer of the county elected for a four year term. The Surveyor does not have a term limit.
The Parke County Surveyor is responsible for the following functions:
- Maintains a corner stone record book for determining the locations of parcels within the county.
- The Surveyor is required to prepare, maintain, and keep in his custody the legal survey record book.
- Supervises all regulated drain construction, reconstruction and maintenance. Serves as an ex offico member of the county drainage board.
- Serves as a member of the county plan commission.
