License Renewal from Expired Status

Requirements to Renew an Expired License or Registration

A veterinarian or registered veterinarian technician may renew an expired license if the license has been expired for less than 5 years.  In renewing the expired license, the licensed veterinarian or registered veterinarian technician must:

1. Submit the completed renewal application.

2. Pay the current renewal fee required as part of the renewal application.

3. Pay the reinstatement fee established by Board of Veterinary Medicine.

4. Comply with any requirements specified by the Board regarding continuing education.

Requirements to Renew a License or Registration Expired 5 or more years

A veterinarian or registered veterinary technician may not renew an expired license if the license has been expired for 5 years or more.  The veterinarian or registered veterinarian technician may apply for a new license or registration certificate and take the required examinations.  Visit MyLicense.in.gov to apply.
