License Renewal from Expired Status

Requirements to Renew a License or Registration Expired Fewer than 3 Years

A veterinarian or registered veterinarian technician may renew an expired license if the license has been expired for fewer than 3 years. In renewing the expired license, the licensed veterinarian or registered veterinarian technician must:

1. Submit the completed renewal application.
2. Pay the current renewal fee (DVM or RVT).
3. Comply with any requirements specified by the Board regarding continuing education.

Requirements to Renew a License or Registration Expired 3 or more years

A veterinarian or a registered veterinary technician may renew a license that has been expired more than 3 years In renewing the expired license, the licensed veterinarian or registered veterinarian technician must:

1. Submit the completed renewal application.
2. Pay the current renewal fee (DVM or RVT).
3. May be required to appear before the Board.
4. Complete continuing education or remediation and additional training.
5. Practice in consultation with or under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian.
