Charter & Innovation Network School Grant Program

The Charter and Innovation Network School Grant Program, Indiana Code 20-24-13, provides grants to qualifying charter schools. The program is administered by the State Board of Education.

For schools that are automatically eligible, the State Board will use the September 2020 ADM estimate to determine the grant amount each charter or innovation network school is eligible to receive, and the entire amount will be disbursed in one payment. The appropriation is not augmentable, which means that if awards in total go above 22.5 million dollars, the payment will have to be reduced on a pro rata basis.

Board staff will email each school a voucher form; please confirm the information is correct, sign, and email it back.  Relevant documents, including a list of estimated eligible schools, can be found below.  Again, board staff will be reaching out to all eligible schools with a voucher to sign.  The application window closes on November 13, 2020 at midnight.  Questions and applications can be directed to applications@sboe.in.gov.
