Southwestern Bartholomew Water Corporation is seeking a rate increase and financing approval in a pending case.
The OUCC and utility have reached a settlement agreement which is pending before the IURC. The agreement and OUCC's supporting testimony were filed on Nov. 17, 2025. The Commission can approve, deny, or modify any agreement it considers.
All publicly filed documents in Cause No. 46269 are available on the IURC website.
A typical rate case follows a 300-day schedule. A final IURC order is expected in spring 2026.
The OUCC issued a Sept. 4, 2025 media release to invite public comments. The IURC held a public field hearing in Columbus on Sept. 17, 2025.
Southwestern Bartholomew Water's current base rates received Commission approval in 2016.
