Brown Ash Pond Compliance Project
Vectren Energy Delivery is seeking IURC approval of plans to close the ash pond at its A.B. Brown Generating Station in Posey County, along with approval to recover the costs through future electric rate increases.
In its petition, the utility estimates the project's costs at $165 million and states that the project is necessary for compliance with the US EPA's Coal Combustion Residual rule.
The OUCC is reviewing Vectren's proposal and is scheduled to file testimony on December 10, 2019. Written consumer comments are invited.
