NIPSCO Wind Energy Cases
Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO) has received IURC approval of a number of new wind energy projects, including cost recovery through rates. The projects include:
- The Rosewater Project (IURC Cause Nos. 45194 & 45197) – a 102 MW facility in White County,
- Jordan Creek Wind Farm (IURC Cause No. 45195) – a 400 MW facility in Warren and Benton Counties, and
- Roaming Bison Wind (IURC Cause No. 45196) – a 300 MW facility in Montgomery County.
The IURC has approved power purchase agreements for all three facilities.
The OUCC recommended approval of the requests with additional reporting requirements. All public documents in the respective cases, including OUCC testimony, are available by clicking on the cause numbers above.
More recently (in Cause Nos. 45310 & 45320), the Commission approved the Crossroads Project, a 302 MW facility in White County. The OUCC filed testimony (Boerger, Haselden, and Blakley) on Dec. 17, 2020.
