NIPSCO's natural gas utility is seeking a base rate increase in IURC Cause No. 44988.
The OUCC, industrial customers, and NIPSCO have reached a settlement agreement in this case. For more information, please see the OUCC's April 23, 2018 news release. Any agreement before the IURC may be approved, denied, or modified.
All publicly filed documents, including the utility's work papers and additional exhibits, are available by visiting the IURC website.
An IURC settlement hearing is scheduled for May 29, 2018 at the PNC Center (101 W. Washington St.) in Indianapolis. A Commission order is expected by late September.
This page will be updated based on case developments.
The IURC approved NIPSCO's current base gas rates in 2010.
Seven-Year Infrastructure Replacement Plan
Under a 2013 Indiana law, NIPSCO received IURC approval of a 7-year plan for infrastructure improvements, along with incremental rate increases as the projects proceed. Project costs in the plan total about $713 million. Please click here for more information.
