Informational Collaborative Meeting re: Net Metering Availability and Reserved Capacity

The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (“IURC” or “Commission”) held an Informational Collaborative Meeting on Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. in IURC Judicial Courtroom 222 at 101 W. Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss and receive information regarding the availability and reserved capacity for new net metering customers as set forth in statute, specifically Indiana Code §§ 8-1-40-10 and 8-1-40-12, as well as the availability of regular updates for each investor-owned electric utility regarding its situation in filling the reserved and non-reserved capacity amounts under the statute. The meeting discussion was limited to the topics and the questions linked below.

The Commission appreciates the thoughtful discussion that occurred at the April 10th Informational Collaborative Meeting regarding Net Metering Availability and Capacity Thresholds. We would appreciate stakeholder comments and feedback on the proposals, questions, and definitions found here.

Please provide your comments and feedback by June 20, 2019, to URCComments@urc.IN.gov. If stakeholders have questions and comments in addition to what is in the above-linked document, they are welcome to include them in their comments and feedback.
