Payroll calendars:
The 2025 Payroll Calendars are uploaded and ready for your review. If you need help correcting any dates, please contact the Employer Advocate Team. Note: if you have four or more dates that need to be corrected, please email us at eppa@inprs.in.gov and we will process the changes within 72 hours.
Before your holiday vacation, please be sure to submit your payroll to INPRS. Staying on schedule will reduce your pre-vacation stress and eliminates a to-do item for your first day back in the office.
It’s very important to keep us up to date whenever an employee leaves their position. You can easily report any separations from employment by updating the employee’s last day in pay and last check date in ERM.

End of Year Reminders for 1977 Fund
Certified Salary:
Certified salary for police and firefighters is due on Jan. 1, 2025. You may start submitting yours into ERM starting Dec. 1, 2024. This is the second year using the new certified salary process. As a reminder, you as an employer are responsible for entering the certified salary directly into the ERM System. Only contacts designated as the following may do so:
- Authorized Agent- City Controllers
- Authorized Agent- City Clerk- Treasurer
- Authorized Agent- Trustees

Pension Relief:
Pension Relief submissions will begin on Jan. 2, 2025. Start preparing your files now.
Note: There will be new data validations this year. Please be on the lookout for additional details and instructions coming in the near future.
Baseline Applications:
A new version of the baseline application is in process and will be available on Jan. 1, 2025. Stay tuned for updates and details in future newsletters.
Information for all School Units
TRF My Choice Plan
On Friday, April 26th, the INPRS Board of Trustees approved an employer contribution rate of 6.5 percent for the TRF Hybrid and TRF My Choice plans effective Jan. 1, 2025, through Dec. 31, 2025. This new rate will be applied to all payroll dates that occur after Jan. 1, 2025. For TRF My Choice, the normal cost will remain at 6.0 percent and the supplemental cost will be 0.5 percent.
HEA 1104 — School Resource Officers’ ’77 Fund Eligibility
Effective July 1, 2024, HEA 1104 passed allowing eligible school corporations and/or charter schools that employ full-time resource officers the option to participate in the 1977 Fund. Note: Independent contractors are not eligible.

PERF Governmental Offices
Are you or an employee leaving as an Elected Official at the end of the year? To ensure their departure is smooth as possible and your unit doesn’t get locked out of ERM, please make sure the newly elected official completes an Authorized Agent form.
Once the form is filled out, please email it to eppa@inprs.in.gov and we will update your contacts in ERM and assign user roles.
