Problem Gambling Warning Signs

  • Gamble to escape – use gambling to escape home or work pressures; gambles out of loneliness or grief
  • Suffer severe mood swings – person’s state of mind depends on gambling wins or losses; when not gambling the person may become anxious or angry
  • Bets increase in size – betting higher amounts to recoup losses or break even
