The Indiana Division of Supplier Diversity has executed cooperative agreements with the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT), the City of Indianapolis Office of Minority and Women Business Development (OMWBD), and the Great Lakes Women's Business Council (Great Lakes WBC), wherein certifications from these organizations will be considered as recommendations toward the state's MBE/WBE/IVOBs certification.
Certification Partnership Process
INDOT or OMWBD must refer your certified company to the Indiana Division of Supplier Diversity. This referral privilege is only available to active INDOT, OMWBD or Great Lakes WBC certified companies headquartered in Indiana. INDOT, OMWBD or Great Lakes WBC will submit a certification packet to the Indiana Division of Supplier Diversity upon receipt of a Information Release Form from the client applying for certification.
Once the certification packet is received by the State from INDOT, OMWBD or Great Lakes WBC, your company will receive via mail a notification:
- Confirming the referral.
- Requesting the State's application be completed
- Requesting your company provide the State a copy of the company's financial records
A site visit may be required if INDOT, OMWBD or Great Lakes WBC have not performed a site visit within the last three years.
